Peças do mês O cubaritmo é um auxiliar de ensino da matemática braille para crianças cegas ou estudantes mais velhos com dificuldades de aprendizagem. Este material ajuda no ensino da disposição aritmética e permite, ao contrário do que acontece com o papel, uma fácil correção. Os cálculos aritméticos são feitos através da colocação de cubos com o caráter em braille no espaço apropriado na placa divisória. O ábaco é um antigo instrumento que permite a realização das diferentes operações aritméticas, tais como a soma, a subtração, a multiplicação e a divisão e ainda na resolução de problemas com frações e raízes quadradas. Apesar de existirem diferenças neste instrumento consoante a civilização que o produz, na sua conceção e essência o modo de funcionamento deste artefacto prevalece o mesmo. Tiflociência - Definição Admitindo-se que o neologismo Tiflociência (por nós criado há muito, mas só divulgado em partilha aberta em junho de 2021) possa ainda não ser do exato conhecimento da comunidade científica e da sociedade civil e sociopolítica, convém sustentar que este termo surgiu para, fundamentadamente, precisarmos um conceito científico novo inspirado na intrinsecação entre a Tiflologia e as específicas e associadas valências tiflológicas desenvolvidas por outras ciências, num processo de recíproco empenho pesquisacional e investigacional conducente a sucessivos e exitosos objetivos tiflocientíficos. Trata-se do nascimento e importância da Ciência da problemática epistemológica e educativa, social e cultural da cegueira anatómica e das inerentes condicionantes e/ou capacitação pessoal e social, suplência multissensorial e sociocognitiva da pessoa cega, que podem ser observadas, estudadas e equacionadas em estudos exploratórios as hipóteses daí inferidas para diluir ou superar condicionalismos ou desvantagens e/ou capacidades e competências a partir da investigação e respetivos resultados contributivos da Tiflologia e de outras ciências afins em especificidade investigacional para a compreensão e promoção de todas as questões que se prendem com a sequente e natural coevolução háptico-percetivo multissensorial e sociocognitiva, ciensível e ergoespacial/ergoeducomunicacional, somatossensorial e cinestésica, ecoacústica e ecolocalizacional, pedagógico/didática e socioeducomunicacional, cultural e intelecto espiritual para o desenvolvimento biopsicossocial e humano da pessoa cega, e da sua orientação e mobilidade, autonomia e independência, em analogia com o desenvolvimento da pessoa normovisual, na sociedade global e cosmopolita de todos e para todos. O feliz entrecruzamento de dois horizontes, o da Tiflologia a respirar fôlegos de outras Ciências para o seu alargamento, aprofundamento e criatividade, e o de outras Ciências a abraçar e a oxigenar a descoberta de especificidades cientificotiflológicas, a aprofundá-las e a desenvolvê-las entrosada e aplicadamente na Tiflologia, está a abrir caminhos promissores e equitativos novos, rumo à Tiflociência, começando este neologismo conceitual e científico a definir-se como uma justa aspiração a Ciência, embora ainda numa exploratória senda humana e social iniciática, mas já estendendo o universo tiflológico à correspondente contribuição de outras Ciências. Todavia, nesta interseção de horizontes, já com fundamentação e determinação, visando alargar e aprofundar cientificamente o conceito de Tiflologia, numa mais precisa confirmação por verificação experimental ou comparativa, enquadrando e fundindo a sua especificidade disciplinar e interdisciplinar na multidisciplinaridade e transdisciplinaridade, por ela própria inspiradas em conjunto com outras ciências (investigando-a e desenvolvendo-a mais, experienciando-a e testando-a mais, validando-a e aplicando-a mais), nesta coevolução envolvendo contributos, designadamente, da biologia, antropologia, sociologia, filosofia, psicologia, psicomotricidade, psicofisiologia, física, engenharia de reabilitação, neurociências e inteligência artificial, bem como de outros domínios científicos que vierem a justificar-se integrar nesta apaixonante caminhada socioeducomunicacional e infocominclusiva, pedagógico/didática e cultural (picando e juntando consiliadamente entre si os processos de socialização e educação, infocomunicação e compreensão da implícita diversidade em relação com a equidade e inclusão, pedagogia/didática e cultura, numa sinérgica implusão estruturante da necessária intercompreensão humana e social perante as diferenças de cada um de nós), promovendo o sentimento e a prática da cultura da equidade na valorização e exercício do trinómio diversidade↔equidade↔inclusão, em exploração científica essencialmente no âmbito das Ciências Sociais e Humanas.
